অভিযোগ উঠেছে, তৃণমূল পর্যায়ের ভোটারদের মাঝে প্রচারণা চালাতে ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে ইয়াহু ও মাইক্রোসফটকে। ভোটারের কাছে ক্যাম্পেইনের আগাম তথ্য দিতে ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে ইমেইল ও রোবো কল। ইয়াহুর ইউজারদের ইমেইল আইডির তালিকা বিক্রি করে নির্বাচনী প্রচারণা চালানোর অভিযোগ যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের গণমাধ্যমে প্রকাশিত হলেও কোনো জবাব মেলেনি ইয়াহুর পক্ষ থেকে।

পলিসি অ্যান্ড অ্যাডভোকেসি অ্যাট প্রাইভেট রাইটস ক্লিয়ারিং হাউজের পরিচালক পল স্টিফেনস বলেন, মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে প্রেসিডেন্ট নির্বাচন যতই ঘনিয়ে আসছে ততই ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহারকারীরা অতিষ্ঠ হয়ে উঠছেন।

Berlin, Jun 24 (bdnews24.com/Reuters) - Hewlett Packard, the world's largest personal computer maker, may cut as many as 1,000 jobs in Germany as part of planned European-wide redundancies, WirtschaftsWoche reported, citing an unnamed staff representative.
HP is planning to cut about 8,000 positions in Europe by the end of 2014, the German magazine said, citing unnamed officials close to the company.
"As many as 1,000 jobs (in Germany) are acutely endangered," WirtschaftsWoche quoted the labour representative as saying.
HP, which employs more than 300,000 workers globally, said in May the layoff of 27,000 workers, or 8 percent of its workforce, would be made mainly through early retirement and generate annual savings of $3.0-$3.5 billion as it exits its 2013/14 year.
HP, which posted a second-quarter profit above market estimates, aims to use cost savings from planned job cuts to drive organic growth.

বর্তমান ট্যাবলেট পিসি এবং স্মার্টফোন বাজারে অ্যাপলের মূল প্রতিদ্ব›দ্বী স্যামসাং। শুধু স্যামসাং নয়, গুগলের অ্যান্ড্রয়েড অপারেটিং সিস্টেম ব্যবহার করে এমন অনেক স্মার্টফোন এবং ট্যাবলেট পিসি নির্মাতার বিরুদ্ধেই একের পর এক পেটেন্ট মামলা করে চলেছে অ্যাপল। এই তালিকায় রয়েছে মটোরোলা এবং এইচটিসির মতো জনপ্রিয় মোবাইল নির্মাতা কোম্পানি।

টেক বোদ্ধাদের মতে, একুশ শতকের সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয় কনজিউমার ইলেকট্রনিক পণ্য অ্যাপল আইফোন। শুরুতে একটি অভিজাত পণ্য হিসেবে বাজারে এলেও ধীরে ধীরে সবধরণের পেশাজীবী মানুষের দৈনন্দিন জীবনের একটি অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে এই স্মার্টফোনটি। প্রয়াত টেক গুরু স্টিভ জবসের তত্ত্বাবধানে অ্যাপলের সিনিয়র ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট জনি আইভ-এর ডিজাইন করা এই স্মার্টফোনটি গত ৫ বছরে পাল্টে দিয়েছে হ্যান্ডহেল্ড ইলেকট্রনিক গ্যাজেটের চিত্র; শুরু করেছে নতুন এক টেকনোলজি বিপ্লবের।

পিসি বনাম ম্যাক যুদ্ধে আইফোনের জয়
মাইক্রোসফট পিসি বনাম অ্যাপল ম্যাকিন্টোশ-এর লড়াই চলে আসছে সেই ৮০র দশক থেকে। পিসি ব্যবহারকারীদের অনেকদির ধরেই ম্যাক-এর জগতে টেনে আনার চেষ্টা করে আসছিলো অ্যাপল। পিসি বনাম ম্যাক লড়াই এখনও শেষ না হলেও আইফোন আর আইপ্যাড-এর কারণে অনেকটাই এগিয়ে গেছে অ্যাপল। পিসি ব্যবহারকারীরা সাধারণত অ্যাপলের পণ্যগুলো থেকে দূরত্ব বজায় রেখেই চলতেন। কিন্তু আইফোন বাজারে আসার পর এই স্মার্টফোনটি দিয়েই গত ৫ বছরে অ্যাপল এর জগতে অভিষেক হয়েছে অনেক পিসি ব্যবহারকারীর। অ্যাপল আইফোনের অপারেটিং সিস্টেমের সহজবোধ্যতা, সিম্পল ইউজেবিলিটি আর অ্যাপ স্টোরের কয়েক লাখ ইউজার ফ্্েরন্ডলি অ্যাপ্লিকেশনের প্রেমে পড়ে পিসি ছেড়ে অ্যাপল ভক্তের খাতায় নাম লিখিয়েছেন অগণিত পিসি ব্যবহারকারী।



আইফোন পাল্টে দিয়েছে মোবাইল গেইমিং দুনিয়া
২০০৮ সালে অ্যাপল অ্যাপ স্টোর লঞ্চ হবার আগ পর্যন্ত মোবাইল গেইমিং মানেই ছিলো নিনটেনডো বা সনির পকেট গেইমিং সিস্টেম। শেষ হয়ে এসছে স্ট্যান্ড অ্যালোন মোবাইল গেইমিং ডিভাইসের যুগ। এক অ্যাপল আইফোনের কাঁধে ভর করেই মোবাইল গেইমিং ইন্ডাস্ট্রি পৌঁছে গেছে সাফল্যের নতুন এক চূড়ায়। অ্যাপলের আগে ২০০৩ সালে নোকিয়া সেল ফোন আর মোবাইল গেইমিং ডিভাইসের সংমিশ্রনে তৈরি করেছিলো এন-গেজ গ্যাজেট। সে সময় অনেক টেক বোদ্ধা মোবাইল গেইমিং প্লাটফর্ম প্লাস সেল ফোন ডিভাইসের যুগ শুরু হচ্ছে বললেও মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিয়েছিলো গেইমাররা। কিন্তু সেটা পুরনো কথা, শুধু দৈনন্দিন জীবন বা পেশাগত কাজে ব্যবহার করার জন্য নয়, বরং গেইমিং ডিভাইস হিসেবেও পুরো বিশ্বের গেইমারদের মন জয় করে নিয়েছে আইফোন। গত ৫ বছরে পুরোপুরি পাল্টে দিয়েছে মোবাইল গেইমিংয়ের সংজ্ঞা।


মোবাইল টেকনোলজি ইন্ডাস্ট্রির নতুন যুগ
এমনটা বলাই যায় যে, মোবাইল টেকনোলজির ইতিহাসে ব্ল্যাকবেরি অধ্যায়ের অবসান ঘটিয়েছে আইফোন। কিন্তু এর সঙ্গে সঙ্গে আইফোনের অবদানেই শুরু হয়েছে মোবাইল টেকনোলজি ইতিহাসের নতুন এক অধ্যায়। পুরো মোবাইল ইন্ডাস্ট্রিই বদলে দিয়েছে অ্যাপলের আইফোন। পৃথিবীর সব বড় মোবাইল ফোন নির্মাতাই এখন অনুসরণ করার চেষ্টা করছে অ্যাপল আইফোনের দেখানো পথ। তারপরও আইফোন প্রযুক্তির সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে চলতে হিমশিম খাচ্ছে কোম্পানিগুলো। আইফোনের অনুকরণেই গুগল তৈরি করছে অ্যান্ড্রয়েড মোবাইল ফোন। শেষ পর্যন্ত চির প্রতিদ্ব›দ্বী মাইক্রোসফটও আইফোনের কাছে হার মেনে নিয়েছে উইন্ডোজ ৮ ওএস দিয়ে। এক কথায় বলতে গেলে বিশ্বব্যাপী ইউজার ফ্রেন্ডলি মোবাইল ফোন তৈরির মানদণ্ড হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে অ্যাপল আইফোন।

অনেক টেক বোদ্ধার মতে, আইফোন আর আইপড টাচই হচ্ছে অ্যাপল আইপ্যাড-এর পেছনের মূল অনুপ্রেরণা। টেক বোদ্ধাদের এই বক্তব্য কতোটা নির্ভরযোগ্য এমন প্রশ্ন করেন অনেকেই। কিন্তু আইপ্যাডের পেছনের মূল অনুপ্রেরণা আইফোন হোক বা না হোক মজার ব্যপার হচ্ছে আইফোনের পর এখন ট্যাবলেট পিসির বাজার দখলে আইপ্যাডের সঙ্গে লড়তে হচ্ছে অ্যামাজন, মাইক্রোসফট এবং গুগলের মতো কোম্পানিকে।

৩০ জুন ষষ্ঠ বছরে পা দিলো অ্যাপল আইফোন। গত ৫ বছরে আইফোন শুধু মোবাইল টেকনোলজির জগতটি পুরোপুরি পাল্টেই দেয়নি বরং জন্ম দিয়েছে নতুন এক অধ্যায়ের; অ্যাপল ভক্তদের কাছে যা আইফোন কালচার নামে পরিচিত।

হাভার্ড ও ম্যাসাচুসেটস ইনস্টিটিউট অব টেকনোলজি (এমআইটি) যৌথ উদ্যোগে বিনামূল্যে অনলাইনে বিভিন্ন কোর্স চালু করছে। বিশ্বের যে কোন প্রান্ত থেকে ইন্টারনেটেই কোর্সগুলো করা যাবে। খবর টাইম।
এমআইটি জানিয়েছে, তাদের ওপেন কোর্স ওয়ার নামে এক দশকের বিভিন্ন কোর্সের ২ হাজার ক্লাস অনলাইনেই পাওয়া যাচ্ছে। ইতোমধ্যে এগুলো পৌঁছে গেছে বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তের ১ কোটি শিক্ষার্থীর কাছে। ইতোমধ্যে অনলাইনে যারা কোর্স করেছে ডিসেম্বরে তাদের জন্যে নতুন কোর্স ঘোষণা করতে যাচ্ছে এমআইটি।
নতুন কোর্স কারিকুলামের চুক্তি সম্পর্কে এমআইটির প্রেসিডেন্ট সুশান হকফিল্ড জানিয়েছেন, তাদের প্রথম কোর্সে ১ লাখ ২০ হাজার আবেদনপত্র জমা পড়েছে। হাভার্ড ও এমআইটি আশাবাদী, বিশ্বের অন্যান্য নামী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোও শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে ওপেন সোর্স প্ল্যাটফর্ম গড়তে একসঙ্গে কাজ করবে।
কোর্সগুলোতে উন্নয়নশীল দেশগুলোর সম্পৃক্ততা বাড়াতে হাভার্ডের রয়েছে বিশাল তালিকা। বিশ্বের যে কোন প্রান্ত থেকে আগ্রহীরা অনলাইনে কোর্সগুলোতে অংশগ্রহণ করতে পারবে। সেসঙ্গে থাকছে অনলাইনেই পরীক্ষা দিয়ে পাশ করে সার্টিফিকেট অর্জনের সুযোগ।

বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে পাতলা ফোন হিসেবে স্থান করে নিয়েছে জাপানি ইলেকট্রনিক পণ্য নির্মাতা ফুজিৎসু’র তৈরি ‘অ্যারোজ এফ-০৭ডি’ ফোন। মটোরোলা’র তৈরি মটো রেজর মোবাইলটির চেয়েও এটি পাতলা। খবর এমএসএন-এর।
অ্যাপল এবং স্যামসাং কর্তৃপক্ষ তাদের তৈরি মোবাইল বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে পাতলা ফোন হিসেবে দাবী করলেও যুক্তরাজ্যের অ্যাডভার্টাইজিং স্ট্যান্ডার্ডস অথোরিটি (এএসএ) অ্যাপলের পক্ষে রায় দিয়েছিল। কিন্তু মটোরোলার তৈরি ৭.১ মিলিমিটার পুরুত্বের মটো রেজর আইফোনের চেয়েও পাতলা ফোন হিসেবে স্থান করে নেয়।
সম্প্রতি ফুজিৎসু অ্যরোজ ব্র্যান্ডের ‘এফ-০৭ডি’ মডেলের স্মার্টফোন তৈরির ঘোষণা দিয়েছে। বাজারে আসার পর ৬.৬ মিলিমিটার পুরুত্বের এ মোবাইলটিই সম্ভবত হতে যাচ্ছে বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে পাতলা ফোন।
এ ফোনটি ২০১২ সাল নাগাদ বাজারে আসবে। এর ফিচার হবে অনেকটা স্যামসাং-এর তৈরি গ্যালাক্সি এস টু-এর মতো। ১.৪ গিগাহার্টজের প্রসেসর এবং ৫১২ গিগাবাইট র‌্যাম সুবিধার এ স্মার্টফোনটিতে থাকবে ৪ ইঞ্চির স্ক্রিন। গরিলা গ্লাসে তৈরি ডিসপ্লে ছাড়াও ৫ মেগাপিক্সেল ক্যামেরার এ ফোনটি চলবে অ্যান্ড্রয়েডে।

অ্যাপলের সহ প্রতিষ্ঠাতা স্টিভ ওজনিয়াকের বাসায় ব্রডব্যান্ড ইন্টারনেট সংযোগ নেই। কম্পিউটিং জগতের এই গুরু সম্প্রতি অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় আয়োজিত স্ট্যান্স বিজনেস ফোরামে বোমা ফাটানো এই তথ্য জানান। খবর গার্ডিয়ান-এর।
সম্প্রতি অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় অনুষ্ঠিত ওই ফোরামে আলোচনার এক পর্যায়ে তিনি জানান, তার ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ার বাসায় ইন্টারনেট সংযোগ না থাকার কথা।
বর্তমানের ‘টেক পাগল’ প্রজন্ম শুরু হয়েছিল যাদের হাত ধরে তাদেরই একজন ওজনিয়াক। ফলে এই অ্যাপল গুরুর এমন স্বীকারোক্তিতে হতবাক হয়ে যান ফোরামে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা। অস্ট্রেলিয়ান নিউজ ডটকম জানিয়েছে, স্টিভ বলেন, ‘আমি স্টিভ ওজনিয়াক বলছি, আমার বাড়িতে ব্রডব্যান্ড কানেকশন নেই।’
পরে অবশ্য তিনি কারণটি ব্যাখ্যা করেন। তিনি জানান, ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ার লস গেটস শহরের চেয়ে কিছুটা দূরে থাকায় সেখানে আধুনিক সুযোগ সুবিধা তুলনামূলকভাবে কম। তিনি বলেন, ‘...এবং ব্রডব্যান্ড ইন্টারনেটের কোয়ালিটি সেখানে জঘন্য’।

The new app, which the Google TV team announced today, lets you find and listen to music from iHeartRadio’s over 800 stations.
It’s not the features that are the main drawing point, the app is absolutely gorgeous. I’ve never seen album art presented in such an interesting way:


In addition to listening to music and creating your own custom stations, iHeartRadio for Google TV will show artist’s photography while the tunes are playing, and also lets you “dim the lights” to set the right tone.
Google hopes that with this new app experience, you can have a “deeper emotional experience” with music.

Apple is rumoured to be making preparations to enter the television market, releasing new TVs later in the year that are expected to feature the company’s Siri technology and access to its expanding App Store.
There has been no indication from Apple that it is working on such a device – but Forrester analyst James McQuivey believes that if the company was to launch new panels later in the year, it should be the “world’s first non-TV TV.”
McQuivey refers back to a recent Forrester report which focused on the television ambitions of technology pioneers Apple, Microsoft and Google, highlighting the dominance of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 when it comes to online video views. Even then, the Xbox 360 was a device originally developed for gaming but has undergone a transition throughout the years to combine all forms of digital content.
Apple has freely admitted that its Apple TV product is a hobby project, it has enjoyed some success but has failed to capture consumers like its iPhone and iPad products have.
McQuivey believes the reason why Apple hasn’t cracked the TV market yet, is because it hasn’t tried. Monopolies on content, a longer upgrade cycle (around 7 years) and low margins in a market dominated by Samsung and LG are cited as barriers to entry and the main reasons why — if Apple was to sell a television — it would have to do something “very different.”
He writes:

Here’s me putting on the record what I’ve been telling clients behind closed doors for over a year: Apple should sell the world’s first non-TV TV. Instead of selling a replacement for the TV you just bought, Apple should convince millions of Apple fans that they need a new screen in their lives.
Call it the iHub, a 32-inch screen with touch, gesture, voice, and iPad control that can be hung on the wall wherever the family congregates for planning, talking, or eating — in more and more US homes, that room is the dining room or eat-in kitchen. By pushing developers to create apps that serve as the hub of family life – complete with shared calendars, photo and video viewers, and FaceTime for chatting with grandma – this non-TV TV could take off, ultimately positioning Apple to replace your 60-inch set once it’s ready to retire.

Apple has been linked with the ordering of 32-inch LCD display panels from Sharp, a size that wouldn’t typically impress in a market filled with 50-inch+ televisions.
A television typically resides in a living room or a bedroom, McQuivey argues for a new Apple product that combines the advantages of an iPad with the form factor of a television and is placed somewhere central to a family, accompanying — not replacing — the 50-inch Samsung set you bought recently.
The argument here is that to sell a device that can provide a dedicated amount of content worldwide, Apple needs to have some control over what is offered. Instead of engaging with TV networks and content providers the world over, Apple can maintain a platform where creators share media and software directly via a marketplace, satisfying the app-hungry consumer.
Apple’s iTunes service provides access to music, movies and TV shows already, and these can be synced to iCloud, providing access to to purchases on any Apple-connected device.
Apple is associated with transcending what is expected from a smartphone, tablet or computer – or as one Forrester analyst says: “its ability to open our minds to the possibility of post-PC computing form factors, and its spectacular track record with generating elegant experiences that teach us to do things we didn’t know we needed.”
Such a device certainly has its plusses but even the idea that Apple is working on such a product has only gained momentum thanks to a Steve Jobs biography, technology analyst notes and the odd supply chain leak.
That said, there is a lot of interest in the unconfirmed product and people want Apple to do it right.

Apple improves app discovery with ‘Editors’ Choice’ and free ‘App of the Week’ features

With more than half a million apps in the App Store, discovery is a huge challenge for iPhone users.
Apple has long acknowledged the issue, having acquired Chomp to help improve things, but it has made a couple of subtle introductions that are aimed at better showcasing the content available for both iOS devices and Macs.
The company has introduced an ‘Editors’ Choice’ selection and a promotion offering selected paid iOS apps for free for a week.
The ‘Editors’ Choice’ feature is up and running in the Mac Store, with contact manager Cobook the first to be spotlighted, The Verge reports.

‘Editors Choice’ is also active for iOS, where Facebook Camera, Extreme Skater, Air Mail and Sketchbook Ink are highlighted
Interestingly, Apple has also tinkered with its ‘App of the Week’ promotion, which sees Cut the Rope: Experiments go free for a week.

A tweet from @appstore — spotted by Touch Arcade – suggests that the company is switching things up to offer selected paid apps as freebies for a week on an ongoing basis.

Though Cut the Rope: Experiments is priced at just $0.99, a weekly initiative move to make selected apps free would be widely welcomed by iOS device owners, and would prompt more downloads. More importantly it could help Apple grow its influence and authority to spotlight apps for both Mac and iOS users.

In Google’s continued efforts to streamline its entire product offering through integration, the Blogger team quietly rolled out an update yesterday to the signup process for new users.

We covered this new signup process in January, and our own Matt Brian took us through the flow:

The old sign-up process required you to sign-up for each of the services manually, Google has now streamlined the process to ensure that new users are immediately equipped with a Gmail and Google+ account as soon as their Google account has been registered.

Even though this new process was launched well before January, it took a while for people to catch on. Interestingly, it took a while for Blogger to jump on board with this new unified approach, but it’s live now.

Here’s what you’ll see when you sign up for a new Google account through Blogger:

After you move through through the initial step, you are presented with the option to create a blog that’s tied to a Google+ profile, or through Blogger’s previous profile system, which allows you to stay anonymous:

Even after you choose the old profile system, Google tries to get you to re-think the Google+ route:

In addition, if you already have a Google account, you can sign up for a new blog through Blogger and attach it to your Google+ profile, which will let you share posts to your stream easily.

In regards to this update, a Google spokesperson told TNW:

We’re working to develop a consistent sign-up flow across our different products as part of our efforts to create an intuitive, beautifully simple, Google-wide user experience. Making it quick and easy to create a Google Account and a Google+ profile enables new users to take advantage of everything Google can offer.

This means that Blogger now joins YouTube, Docs, Search, Gmail, and Google+ in getting the updated signup flow. Whether you agree with the strategy of unifying all of your Google activity into one account or not, it’s an obvious next step for a company who wants to make it easier to navigate the Web.

Furthermore, this supports my original musings on Google+, in that it’s become the social glue at Google and has kickstarted this brand new focus on unification rather than the original, and annoying, separation.

বর্তমানে প্রযুক্তি ও টেলিকম সেক্টরে তুমুল প্রতিযোগিতায় তথ্য চুরির হিড়িক পড়ে গেছে। সমশ্রেণীর এক কোম্পানি চুরি করছে অন্য কোম্পানির ভবিষ্যত প্রযুক্তির খবরাখবর। এ পরিস্থিতিতে অ্যাপল সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে, এখন থেকে কোনো কর্মী অফিসের বাইরে খাবার খেতে যেতে পারবে না।
ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ার কুপার্টিনোতে হেড অফিসের ভেতরেই চালু হচ্ছে অ্যাপলের এই নিজস্ব রেস্টুরেন্ট। ইতোমধ্যে প্রায় সাড়ে ২১ হাজার বর্গফুট জায়গা রেস্টুরেন্টের জন্য বরাদ্দ দেয়া হয়েছে। জানা গেছে, ওই রেস্টুরেন্টে অ্যাপলের নিজস্ব কর্মকর্তা ছাড়া টুরিস্ট বা বাইরের কেউ প্রবেশ করতে পারবে না।
অ্যাপল জানিয়েছে, তারা চায় কোম্পানির কর্মীরা লাঞ্চ টাইমে নিজস্ব রেস্টুরেন্টে নিশ্চিন্তে বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে খোলামেলা কথা বলুক। এতে আড়ি পেতে কথা শোনা বা তথ্যচুরির ঘটনা ভবিষ্যতে কমে আসবে।
অ্যাপলের রিয়েল এস্টেট ডিরেক্টর ডেন হুইসেন হান্ট বলেন, মূল ক্যাম্পাসে গবেষণা ও অ্যাপলের নিজস্ব স্যাটেলাইট তৈরির কাজ চলছে। তাই এটা সময়ের দাবি।
উল্লেখ্য অ্যাপলের আইফোন ৪ বাজারে আসার কিছুদিন আগেই নতুন ওই মডেলের একটি প্রোটোটাইপ লাঞ্চ আওয়ারে চুরি হয়ে গিয়েছিলো। ওই ঘটনা শেষতক পুলিশ ও আদালত পর্যন্ত গড়ায়।

সম্প্রতি গুগল ক্রোম এনেছে ব্রাউজার ট্যাব সিংক্রোনাইজ করার সুবিধা। এতে করে এক কম্পিউটারের ব্রাউজারে ওপেন থাকা সবগুলো ওয়েবসাইট বা ট্যাব অন্য কম্পিউটার বা ডিভাইসে ওপেন করা যাবে। খবর ম্যাশএবল-এর।
সূত্র জানিয়েছে, গুগল ক্রোমের নতুন সংস্করণ ১৯-এর সঙ্গে এই সুবিধা চালু হয়েছে। এটি পিসি ও ম্যাক উভয় কম্পিউটারেই কাজ করবে। এ ছাড়াও কোন কোন ট্যাব খোলা আছে এর পাশাপাশি সম্পূর্ণ ব্রাউজিং হিস্ট্রিও সিংক্রোনাইজ হয়ে যাবে। ফলে নতুন ডিভাইস বা কম্পিউটারে খোলা উইন্ডোতে ব্যাক বা ফরওয়ার্ড বাটনও কাজ করবে। অর্থাৎ, সিংক্রোনাইজ করার পর ঠিক এমনভাবেই কাজ করা যাবে, যেন ব্যবহারকারী অন্য কম্পিউটারেই এতোক্ষণ কাজ করছিলেন।
উল্লেখ্য, গুগল ক্রোমের ব্রাউজার হিস্ট্রি, বুকমার্ক, পাসওয়ার্ড ইত্যাদি যাবতীয় তথ্য সিংক্রোনাইজ করার সুবিধা আগেও ছিল। এজন্য ব্যবহারকারীকে কেবল তাদের গুগল অ্যাকাউন্ট দিয়ে লগইন করতে হয়।

সার্চ জায়ান্ট গুগল এবার তাদের সার্চ ইঞ্জিনে বড় ধরনের আপডেট আনছে। এ আপডেটে নির্দিষ্ট সার্চের রেজাল্ট দেখানো হবে ব্যবহারকারীরা কি ধরনের তথ্য চাচ্ছেন এবং এ সম্পর্কিত অন্য তথ্যের সমন্বয়ে। খবর ওয়াল স্ট্রিট জার্নালের।
নলেজ গ্রাফ নামের এ প্রযুক্তিতে সার্চ জায়ান্ট গুগল এবার তাদের ডেটাবেসে যোগ করছে ৫ কোটি ব্যক্তি, প্রতিষ্ঠান, গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় বা স্থানের তথ্য। অন্য ব্যবহারকারীকে একই ধরনের সার্চ রেজাল্ট নির্বাচনের ভিত্তিতে প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য যোগ করে সার্চের রেজাল্ট উপস্থাপন করা হবে।
গুগল জানিয়েছে, এতে খুব কম সময়ের মধ্যে ব্যবহারকারীরা তাদের প্রয়োজনীয় তথ্য খুঁজে পাবেন। আগামী কয়েক সপ্তাহের মধ্যে সেবাটি চালু হতে যাচ্ছে।
